~ MISSIONS ~

At Bethel United Methodist Church, we strive to live out our vision of being a "beacon of light and love" by providing our members the opportunity to serve others throughout our community and our world. There is a wide variety of missions in which you can be involved. Here are just a few...

This team welcomes all who have a heart for missions. They meet once a month or so to discuss and implement ways in which we can better serve our community. Special Mission Drives and offerings occur throughout the year to benefit non-profit organizations such as Lend-a-Hand, Delaware Hospice, Children of Zion Orphanage, Perpetual Prosperity Pumps, Home of the Brave, Just Soup and many more.

Donations are collected year-round for the Cape Henlopen Food Pantry. Simply bring in your canned goods, non-perishables such as pasta, rice, dried beans, and even toiletries and paper products and place them in the collection barrel. We'll drop them off at the Food Pantry for you.

giving tree Each Christmas Bethel unites to provide Christmas gifts for needy families in our area and surrounding communities. You can help with the Giving Tree by donating gifts (monetary donations are gladly accepted as well) or packing and delivering gifts. What a special way to remember what Christmas is really all about.

The Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches (L.R.A.C.) is a voluntary collaboration of Churches in and around Rehoboth Beach and Lewes, Delaware. Lay and clery delegates work together in Christian ministry to meet the needs of others with programs such as the New Life Thrift Shop (below), work projects and Christmas Cookies for Prisoners.

thrift shop The New Life Thrift Shop is run by The Lewes-Rehoboth Association of Churches but you can help in this all-volunteer ministry. Donate your items, time and talent, or simply come in and purchase bargain-priced goods. Every dollar the shop makes is dedicated to ministry on behalf of others.
